Hi, I’m Tyler Mickelsen, a husband, a proud dad to four incredible boys, and the author behind stories designed to help kids
build confidence, self- belief, and mental toughness.
For more than 22 years, I’ve worked in sales, where I learned one powerful truth: mindset changes everything. No matter the challenge, opportunity, or goal, the way you think and talk to yourself determines where you end up. The right mind set can move you forward in any situation.
As a kid, I loved sports and competition. I worked hard and cared deeply about improving, but I didn’t understand the
importance of mindset. I didn’t realize how powerful my thoughts and words were, or how much mental strength sep-
arates athletes and individuals who reach their potential from
those who feel stuck. That realization is what inspired me to write children’s books.
My stories use sports, imagination, and real-life lessons to help kids understand who they are, what they’re capable of,
and how powerful their mindset can be—both on and off the field. My hope is that these books help kids develop confi-
dence early, believe in themselves deeply, and step into their true identity with courage and joy.
When I’m not writing, you can usually find me spending time with my family, coaching my kids, or cheering them on as they learn, grow, and chase their dreams.
